Ah, the annual day of the fools, the fool’s day.
It’s sad but true and apparently not a joke: The Landgericht Karlsruhe (I guess it’s something like “municipal court of Karlsruhe”) has decided that putting a link to a web site that links to content that links to illegal content is itself illegal. A German mirror site of Wikileaks is maintained by an anonymous blogger who had police having executed a search warrant at his home, taking all of his computing equipment. After this he charged the police for the search warrant being not legal.
The current court level is the Landgericht, followed by few others, but the victim has announced to pursue a decision of the highest German court, the Bundesverfassungsgericht. A suitcase regarding “Perverting the course of justice” against the judges and lawyers has also been initiated.
